Switch from QuickBooks

A cleaner start, without the cleanup

We're building an easy switch from QuickBooks. Here is the plan.

Why people leave QuickBooks

It's too complex

The most common complaint is that it's hard to use. You need to know accounting words to get simple answers.

The price keeps rising

QuickBooks has raised prices every year since 2020. In August 2026, the Plus plan went from $115 to $140 a month. Many owners now shop for a simpler tool.

It's only half the job

QuickBooks tracks your books but not your customers. You still pay for a second tool.

Closing the books means calling your accountant

QuickBooks has a guided month-end review, but only in QuickBooks Online Accountant, the product accountants use. In your QuickBooks, closing the books is a settings toggle. CloudOverture gives the guided close to you.

Our price is capped, in writing: at most once a year, at inflation, or 3% when inflation is lower. See how we make money.

How the clean cut works

1

Upload

Export your numbers from QuickBooks and upload the file. A PDF, a spreadsheet, or a screenshot all work.

2

AI reads it

Our AI reads your accounts and your open invoices into a draft setup. It can also do a one-time scan of your old email. That scan finds contacts, companies, and open bills to suggest.

3

You review

Check every line and every suggested row. Fix anything that looks off. Nothing is saved until you say yes.

4

Start fresh

Your books open on a clean date. Your unpaid invoices come with you, so customers can pay right away.

What carries over, and what does not

We're honest about this. A clean switch moves your starting numbers, not your full history. Your old QuickBooks file stays as a read-only record you can keep.

The CloudOverture column shows the first version. We are building it now.

Competitor prices are their listed monthly prices, checked in August 2026. Plans and prices change. Check their sites before you decide.

Card payments in CloudOverture still carry processor fees. USDC is an extra way to get paid that skips them. The customer pays a network fee of less than one cent.
